There are many different types of site hosting and many different ways you can place graphics on your website. DIY stores, or do it yourself e-stores, is one very popular hosting method.

One very common method of website design is the use of HTML code to design the graphics. If you know how to write and code HTML, this method is fine for you.

However, many people do not know how to code an entire site in HTML. Some folks know just enough HTML to get by with some simple coding techniques, and some people do not know any HTML code at all.

That is okay. DIY e stores can be easily created in a very short time using our DIY website builder. Our system is designed to make adding graphics to your DIY e store as easy as 1-2-3. That is where websets come in.

Websets, for those of you who do not already know, contain the graphic components of DIY stores. You can change these out anytime you like with a few mouse clicks. That makes it very convenient to change your storefront for different holidays, for example.

A typical webset includes your website backgrounds, usually two or three different ones. A DIY webset includes a header, or topper, and a logo that you can add on the front page that is customized with your store name.

In addition to those components, there are category and page buttons as well. These are customized with text specific to your unique DIY e store. Some common page buttons include Contact Me, About Me, and View Cart.

You do not have to use category buttons in your e store, however. You can always use text instead of graphics for your categories and pages.

When you purchase a ready-made webset, you let the graphic designer know what text to add to your graphics. The designer then customizes the graphics and sends them back to you, most often in a zip file.

You then access the admin area of your DIY e Store, and simply upload the new graphics in place of the existing ones with a few mouse clicks.

A webset makes adding new graphics to your e store a snap. No fussing with confusing HTML code, and best of all, you can add a new webset in a matter of minutes.

We design new websets on a regular basis, so be sure to check our webset area carefully for new designs.

Other components in a webset include promotional banners, a customized plug, a blank business card, an avatar, a logo, and so on.  We'll cover more details on those in a future post.
